Driver side hub
Well..my friend was swapping in his winter rims but when tightening the lug nuts on his driver side hub, the stud broke off. My question is does he have to get a whole new hub or can he just get the stud replaced. If he can just get the stud replaced...can it be done at home or do we have to take it to a machine shop???
Its a 99 Civic coupe
thanks in advanced

Most any tire shop will do it. You prolly could save a few $ by picking up the studs yourself. Theyre like .90c - $1.50 at napa or whatever. I broke two, and all they did at the shop was take off the break assembly, and knock them out from the disk. I think one was a bit stubborn, so he had to cut the old stud a bit. It an me like around 35 bucks and about 45 minutes of time to get it done.
