The instructions from koni looked fine to me.
The shaft on the koni shocks are 12mm compared to 10mm for the stock shocks. so for the dust cover, standard procedure is to use a round file or a 12mm drill bit to enlarge the hole. Technically you're supposed to chop it down to 1.5" to 2" in length if your car is lowered a lot to keep it from bottoming out.
Then you tap out the round bracket from the stock shocks that holds the brake line with the little nipple at the bottom and tap it onto the koni shock, with the nipple-looking thing centered in that little dent you see near the bottom of the shock. That dent is there so the bolt that holds the fork to the shock body doesn't rub up against anything.
And if those are your front shocks in the attached pictures, your perch IS upside down. The cupped side should be facing down. Make sure you don't forget to put the washer on the c-clip before putting on the perch. I learned that the hard way
BTW the metal tube with the black rubber bushing at the top should be stuffed inside the other bushing in the top hat also. I don't know if it makes any difference after everything's put together, but that's how i always did it. Oh and your rubber bushings may be facing the wrong direction also.

are you sure the perch is upside down how come, when koni ship it out it came out the box the perch was like that out of the box, please help me you got detailed instructions
The perch was already on the shocks when koni shipped it to you?? All the parts should've been in separate plastic bags if you purchased them brand new.
If you need a better idea of how it's supposed to go on, look at the perch on your stock shocks.
For the fronts it's supposed to look like:

If you look at the directions more closely, you will see there is supposed to be a washer over the c-clip to help spread the load. I ran w/o them for a while and part of the c-clip collapsed, but luckily it was still supporting the car. Koni shipped me new c-clips and washers and stuff for free
