Default Fuel Pressure Regulator

My car seems to be running a little rich, and some people have said that I should replace my fuel pressure regulator because it looks a little rusted. I was curious because I still have my cx motor sitting in the garage, so I was wondering if I could use the FPR from that on my B16. Any help would be much appreciated.

That d series one wont line up. Just because its rusted doesnt mean anythings wrong with the inside. So what exactly do you think that youre running rich???

I just figured that if its rusted/corroded that there may be a chance that it is damaged, and since i have the cx one laying around that i might as well throw it in, but now I know it wont line up. I think im running rich because i get horrible gas milage, i can smell my car running rich, and my back bumper will be covered with black stuff, fuel?

probably got a huge exhaust and no cat, that would explain running rich/black smoke. Just get a b&m adjustable with gauge.

Well I just got back from installing the cx fuel pressure regulator into my B16. Yes it fits. Both the B16 and the CX motor use the same FPR's. I think it is NR-1? Something liek that. Bolted up no problems. Seems like its running a bit better, not so much of a altering idle.

2nd gen b16, j's racing intake, itr intake manifold, dynamic header, 2.25" piping with hks hiper exhaust, vafc, and thats about it for motor wise. The car has been running like this since I got the motor put in whcih was stock. My next thing is going to try and replace my O2 sensor, that may be bad, but Im not throwing a code. So i dunno.

Why not hook it up to a wideband o2 sensor and see what your air/fuel ratio is? Since you have a vafc you can adjust the fuel.
