VTo on VAFC doesn't turn on???
Do you know anything on hooking up a Apexi V-AFC to get VTEC on a non-VTEC ECU. I have a d16y8 with pm6 ecu. The VTo (same with the VTi) never comes on at all, it's set to activate VTEC at 5200 rpm.
changed some settings on my VAFC. Now it works. Yes...i know vtec has to be working...but in order for vtec to work, you also need to activate it on a non vtec ecu. Which is why i bought a VAFC and connected the Vtec solenoid to the VAFC. Then i set the crossover point and it now works.

wrong... if u set vtec to 4500 on a ecu that turns it on at 5500... the vafc doesnt see a signal and still turns it on
VAFC doesnt need a signal to turn in VTEC
i have it on my non vtec ecu PG7 and works fine
to answer the question on the thread... make sure u got the wiring done correctly buddy.. then make sure u get settings right
