Default vafc help please

Does anyone know what the VTO and VTI stand for? Also why only The VTO inguages when I'm in vtec?

"vti is when the ECU sends the signal to activate the solenoid. This signal is intercepted by the VAFC. The solenoid doesn't even get to see this signal with the VAFC in place.
vto is when the VAFC sends the signal to activate the solenoid.

I believe the only time the vto = ON and vti = OFF, is if the VTEC crossover point on the VAFC is less than whatever crossover rpm the ECU you're running is sending out. Maybe you're running a JRSC. " IN VTEC

I have used the search.. If I found my answer I wouldnt ask for help.

So what your saying is the vtec on the vafc is set befor the vtec on the ecu??

no i'm not saying that....have you ever looked at how a vafc is wired? take a look ... the signal has to run through the vafc first from the ecu(VTI)...then the vafc sends the signal to the solenoid(VTO) it makes the change when it sends the signal to the solenoid...your ecu still has its stock signal

The VAFC intercepts the signals from the ECU and modifes them to whatever your input is.

X2, this is why there bad in my opinion as well as others for tuning, and you can only really do fine tuning with them.
