Default stronger sleeves?

if i were building a b18c1 and i wanted an 85 or even 86mm bore, what kind of sleeves are available that are gonna be strong enough to support such a thin wall between cylinders? is there such things as carbide sleeves?

please don't tell me "thats too big" or "there's no need for that" or something like that. i know 85 is possible. i'd like to see 86.

Some people have done 87mm. My current Civic motor is 85mm. I am building an 86mm bore engine. Benson sleeves in both motors.

Yep, i would go with benson sleeves since they have been proven to work with high amount of boost...and retain the open deck style just like stock.

85-87 mm is very possible..i hope you plan to run boost.

actually, i was looking into an all motor setup. i dunno about an 87mm bore. maybe if i had the money to rebuild the engine every few thousand miles, but i don't. also, it seems like there would be too much thermal loss with an 87mm bore.

also, now that i've thought about it, i'm thinking of backing down to like an 83 or 84mm bore and increasing the stroke more.

b19coupe, could you explain your setup to me? maybe PM me if you wanna keep it a secret for the most part. i'd appreciate it.

for Benson sleeves. I would only take it to 83 or 84mm to give you more room for future rebuilds without having to resleeve it again.

Actually it's an 80mm bore with a B16A crank and a B18B head.
