4 degrees advanced to much for nitrous motor??

Default 4 degrees advanced to much for nitrous motor??

Hey..My brothers freind has a 98 civic non vtec motor and is running nos . I know nos is gay, but its not my motor. Anyway hes got a adjustable cam gear and currently is running 4 degree advanced, but doesnt want to burn it up. Oh and its a 50-75 shot... Please anyone with information please let me know so i can help a buddy out. Thanks!!

Usually, the rule is that you retard your timing 1 degree for every 50 HP shot you are using

On the zex kit
75 shot = 4 degrees
65 shot = 2 degrees
55 shot = 0

And on you for thinking nitrous is gay. Racing is all about kidswith little money trying to go the fastest for the cheapest.

yeah true dat...some of us cant afford all motor build ups or turbo...so we have to go with the next best thing....nitrous oxide

dont get all mad cause i said it was gay, i was reffering to ricers who throw in nos and go around town smashin the button, lol..not racers who are serious about what they do...and thank you for your reference i appreciate it!!

Why would I be mad? Because passes judgement on people using nitrous as ricers?

Or because hes the "ricer" refering to is as "nos"

You know it even serves a purpose even on large single turbo cars because a small show at low rpm helps get rid of turbo lag.

Some **** just gets me mad, refering to nitrou as cheating/gay is one of them when you cant back it up

Not if he advanced the gear but then retarded his ign to compensate...but I dont think hes bright enough to do that so I agree with you.
