first off, that is on the main shaft, not the coutner shaft
secondly that is the 3-4 syncro sleeve set part number 23623-P21-315
(edit: correction that is the gear , part number 23440-P21-000)
thirdly you can buy that for around $200 brand new
fourth, i would never buy used syncros

and how the f*ck did that happen?

got a number I can call to get those parts?

and yeah I'll probably have my buddy at honda put that back together

I can't explain how it happened.. but I did get a GREAT deal on the tranny, the kid said it wouldnt go into 3rd gear (duh!) and I did get it already dissassembled and had to scavenge for the bolts with the springs and ***** in them..

so I traded the kid a 6 puck clutch kit for the ITR tranny I guess another 200 bucks to fix it right wont hurt

thanks for the quick reply!

What the hell is that? I've worked on alot of trannies and never seen that before, and it's not a listed part in any of the hydro or cable helms manuals or the dealer catalogs. The Type R third gear section is available in seperate peices so that should help keep cost down, but I have no idea what you need to replace there.

And hard to tell from that pic, but it looks like you may have a clearance issue with the shift fork and collar

if you are referring to the bent piece there, that is the actual gear.
You can get that gear separate from the rest for probably under 150.

great feedback!

so I might be looking for set #4, which would be 3 and 9?

the tranny was apart, as far as the shaft goes, it spins like it should, and the fork does shift like it should. anyone have a part # for that set and a price and a # to call?

damn I wish you guys lived in las vegas, nv
but I will drive to So cal if anyone wants to help a brotha out!

** I was thinking about the reverse gear, its not installed properly in that picture, but maybe thats what might have caused the bend in that 'gear/ring'.... the kid over-reved the motor ALL THE TIME and I dont know about reverse. the synchros look good tho...

thanks
