don't mean to hijack this thread, but how big of a difference do you guys think there is between the the us d15b7 non vtec, and the jdm vtec d15. I know theres a hp difference, but do you think its something you'd really notice and feel once you swap it in?

I think one would be able to feel a 25hp increase In addition d15b7s are mated to DX trannys, which are usually junked and exchanged for Si trannys...

I think i just might pick one of these motors up here pretty soon. I think my motor & tranny are due for replacment. My current d15b7 has 180k on the clock, and my tranny is starting to scratch when shifting to 2nd when i'm on the throttle. Slammed Sol, how difficult of a swap do you think this would be for someone who's never done a swap? Mechanically, getting everything in i can do, only problem I think i might run into is wiring.

Do a lil bit of HW and its cake walk. Download and print out the section of the helms manual on doing an engine swap and you are good to go.

Call Meiko Japanese Engines Inc. Phone 310-516-8877 / Fax 310-516-8778

Ask for Jesse

They have some left of JDM D15B SOHC Vtec where I bought there 3 months ago.
