you have only gained around 7hp to the wheels for your mods...I guess that's about right though.

b16a = been there done that...and think for over $2000 you will spend on B16a (complete swap), stock motor will only put out 140whp and about 100-102lbs of torque... this only cost me $600....and that includes a JDM LSD tranny, headers, new axles, new mounts, ecu and much more....

so to gain about 23whp with b16a with spending $1400 more i'll pass....for about $400 i'll get a Zex cam and springs, shave the head and will put out similiar power, but i am going to weight at least 100-150lbs less....and less headaches, and if anything breaks...its cheap...

d-series power here i come

here dyno of my b16a:

Hey, what is your timing settings? are they advanced at all or set at stock with advanced maps? Was the car running rich with the skunk2 program? Im really interested to see your progress. After you get the zex cam, please post your results, I really want to see another dyno sheet on that cam.

1 degree adv. over stock...the ecu/proggy does advance the timing and improve the maps (both fuel and ignition), but decreases gas milage over stock...., and yes the SKUNK2 does run rich, even when i used to have my b16a, it was rich....

um, i don't think a stock D15B puts down 110 hp ... my d16z6 ex only put down 101 to the wheels bone stock. i find that dyno rather impressive.

in my experience the D16y8 puts down 107-111 stock...I was under the impression that his engine was reletively similar to that.

i disagree. that is nice amount of power. i am sure it is not for drag racing. i am going all motor on my D16Z6. i think that 17 hp over stock (compared to my motor) is Awesome!!!

Retard the cam 2 degrees to move powerband upwards in the rpm a little.
Nice little dyno. Looks alot like my non VTEC 1.5L did.
Should have used a AEM for another 10 hp on topend.

BTW where did you get the swap from?

thanks...I think the dyno is not all that bad, considering thats its only a 1.5l stock motor, most stock 1.8 b18a/b LSs, make similiar power, but have one more cam, .3l more of displacement, more aggressive tuning (and put out only about 7-10lbs/ft of torque more)....

will try that setting mista bone....need to break into 120whp and over 100lb/ft of torque...

yes all the chips i tested, i do sell...as far as the tranny, i can get it, but i simply do not want to ship...so pick up only...

more dynos:

depends on how inclined you are with a soldering iron...and some simple knowledge of electronic....the rest is just following my instructions....

My bone stock D16z6 put down 86whp (on a Mustang Dyno), so those numbers are impressive.

that's about right in your power gains. nice to have a cheap d series motor and have a JDM LSD tranny along with it.

lip is a JDM 96 specR (ITR), needed some modifying but it does fit well...
invloves cutting in half and taking about 1-2" of both sides in the middle then simply attachinf with screws, since the OEM mounting poits are different..

similiar to this lip is the 99-00 si/sir coupe...which should just bolt on to the the EG chasiss...but buddy did it on his ex sedan...

amazing gains with simple ecu tuning...I have a d15/z6 mini me...i'm trying to decide wether to advance or retard my timing? how will I know, or do I need to dyno tune it?

EDIT: didn't realize this thread was 2 years old...sorry

You'd think with that many posts, someone could spell VTEC correctly.
