don't mean to hijack this thread, but how big of a difference do you guys think there is between the the us d15b7 non vtec, and the jdm vtec d15. I know theres a hp difference, but do you think its something you'd really notice and feel once you swap it in?

I think i just might pick one of these motors up here pretty soon. I think my motor & tranny are due for replacment. My current d15b7 has 180k on the clock, and my tranny is starting to scratch when shifting to 2nd when i'm on the throttle. Slammed Sol, how difficult of a swap do you think this would be for someone who's never done a swap? Mechanically, getting everything in i can do, only problem I think i might run into is wiring.

Do a lil bit of HW and its cake walk. Download and print out the section of the helms manual on doing an engine swap and you are good to go.

im in northern cali, i have a jdm d15b for sale, never used it was a backup for my sohc turbo project, but decided to sell all and go for dohc, let it go for what i paid... 300.. i had the warranty around here somewhere but i think i misplaced it lol
