Default Anyone have experience with distributerless ignition systems?

I used a crane ignition system I used when n/a. It worked good for a couple of years but it started to do wierd things so I took if off and went back to stock coil in distributer. I was thinking of using the msd digital ignition, but this time around I was thinking of using the Electromotive HPX distributerless ignition system.

I have seen it in some drag race applications and MSD makes a version of this. Anyone using it now? Is it worth the $520 or is it overkill. On my next tune I'm shooting for 500+ hp.

Its overkill, people make 500+whp on bone stock ignition systems. No sense in complicating a system unless you have to.
