oil
It depends on the mileage of the car... generally the higher the mileage the thicker the oil. Althought they do have special oil formulated for car's with higher mileage motors.
also depends on your climate... 5-30 is a thinner oil that is easier on your car incold starts... 10-30 is a thicker oil that should be used if you have an oil leak, as it will slow the leak down.
Most High milage oils do work. They have addatives that penatrate the gaskets and try to rejuvinate the life in them(make them softer and bigger), but obviously these don't always work. The chance of them working gets better the more you use it too.
Hope this helps...
