Default line running from valve cover to short ram

what is this line for? is there any benifit on having this? im confused can anyone help?

its part of the pcv system. leave it alone. putting in a beather will do absolutly nothing for you, will spit oil into your bay, and will get you a hefty fine if your pulled over.

if you pull it off you lose a little positive pressure coming frmo the crankcase...leave it alone or get an oil catch can to filter the garbage if you're really worried about it.

its for the pvc system, check out blowby and catchcan, basically for a NA setup leave it attached, if you have a turbo setup you could use a breather filter.

lol. they do dude. i have a 87 ls teg. first generation, first design. it doesnt get any older than that (except the 85 quints that were carbed in japan)

lol my 79 trans am has it lol its part of the PCV system and is there for a reason.
As far as th breathers go they are pointless and even though oyu never seem to notice the oil come out im sure it did plus im sure you just happen to be lucky i guess, the breather = pointless that simple

Always dreaming of the west man...I hate this climate
I have to finish up some things over here, then depending on where my life/career takes me, I plan on being out there soon enough man...thanks for letting me know though!

We're still waiting to hear how a breather system is for FI and not for NA
