o2 simulators: Work? or BS?
I just finished a swap in my EK.(obd2b). Since I live in Washington, our emissions is extremely easy to pass and I would like to run a straight exhaust pipe to my header bypassing the cat.
So..
A good seller that I know of promises me that I wont through a CEL with his o2 simulator. ($69)
Good ? Bad ? Do they work? Other options
Thanks guys

to me i think you shoud use your o2 sensor, then your ecu will know when to lean, or add more fuel to your motor. the other hand if you use the o2 simulator it try to trick the ecu that the exhaust is ok all the time, therefore; the ecu is in limp mode.
Just get a high flow cat. They provide almost no restriction, and you can keep from polluting. You also won;t have to worry about adverse effects from running that simulator thing. Closed loop ECU operation is gooood.
as long as the cat is doing its job, it should not throw a code. that sensor is not like the front. it should be a stable signal. unlike thr front that sweeps up and down. if the cat is burning all it needs to, it should be ok.
