Many Miles To break in Engine LSVTEC?
Well just about finished my LS Vtec. Bout a b1.6 Superchaged but sold it.
I put a b1.6 Head with a Ls block and b1.6 Internal. I also has a Skunk 2Intakemanifold. So how many miles do you think. One person told me 3000 miles someone else said 500 miles?

Start the car up and let it idle for 30 min. Take the car out and do some 30-50mph 3rd & 4th gear pulls and decel w/o brakes or downshifting. Rings are seated. Be easy for 500 miles. Drive normal for 1000 (not hard or soft) Then go have fun.
If your not building the block then there is no need for a lot of mileage break-in. I would say 200 milages. but if ur building the block there is a 500 mileage breaKIN for sure. Mine was 500 miles, you gotta slow your roll for a while
drive 200 miles then change your oil, then drive another 400 miles and change your oil again. and lastly, drive another 400 and change your oil again. this is how i broke in my motor
. doing all that oil changing removes all the metal shavings

Yeah it makes a lot of sense and it adds up to 1000 miles.. Theres no reason not to do it.. How much is an oil change if you do it yourself.. $10?

BITCHES! everyone ****** one of you are bitches! and ignorant!
**** 500 miles. drive that ************ hard as hell after you let it come up to running temperature to check for any leaks. actually, on your very first run, you put a slight load on the engine, either starting out in 2nd or driving 1st up a good hill. run it up thru all the gears, going to about 3/4 throttle. run it back down the gears, DOWNSHIFTING! after that, drive it just how you would after it has been broken in. you got to get rod stretch, cylinder wear, and your rings seated. you will feel the rings seat, the power coming up slowly but surely. just dont run it at steady rpms for longer than 1 mile during the first oil change. oil should be changed after 500 miles.
