What's wrong?
My friend has a 91 integra. She says she is having problems with her idle. The idle is fine right at first once the car is started, but once it warms up the car just wants to die. Happens more if she is consistently starting and turning off the car(i.e. running erans). Is it a vacuum leak?
Should I start by trying this first?
Intake manifold - clean with carbon build up cleaner
Throttle body - clean with carbon build up cleaner
Clean air filter
Clean IAVC
Change oil
Replace PCV valve
Index your spark plugs
Fuel injector cleaner
New Fuel filter
Anything else I can do if all this doesn't work?
TIA

Yeah, I'd recommend a tune-up unless she's had one recently.
Have you checked out SeaFoam for the carobn buildup? Take a

considering its a 91, there's no tell ing how well it was broken in and maintained. engines built back then needed a better breakin than the ones made today.
Like the pervious poster mentions, might be time to do a tune up. perhaps a compression test as well for leaks in the seals.

When exactly does the car stop running? For example, do you mean if the car is up to operating temperature and she goes to get gas, turns off the car, pumps the gas, then goes to start the car again. Does the car start fine but then dies a few seconds after that?
Add a new main fuel relay to that list.
Also, since it's a '91, you might want to check the ignition key cylinder mechanism. They're known to go bad and the car will just die while it's running perfectly otherwise.

Any vacuum leaks?
Had the idle ever been adjusted?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yep check for vacuum leaks and adjust your idle before you go and spend money. I had that problem with my old 92 LS, turned out to be the idle was too low
