after motor swap and fuel pump swap--- I have no fuel pressure
the walbro 255 hp fuel pump makes the sound like it is working and building pressure when I turn the key to the on position--- but I'm not getting any gas up front. I thought at first it was the fuel filter-- when I pulled off the fuel lead from the fuel filter, some gas did drip out... but when I left it detached from the fuel filter and put the key to the on position, the fuel pump made the same sounds-- but no fuel came out of the fuel lead. Would I need to have the fuel lead going to somewhere (like the fuel filter) in order for it to build pressure??? Thanks in Advance.
In case you're wondering- I'm swapping a b18c1 w/ JRSC into a 91 honda CRX Si. I'm using the GSR ECU w/ hondata tuned for a Walbro 255 high pressure fuel pump and RC440 injectors. I bypassed the injector resistor box by using the 8-wire plug on the GSR on the crx harness, and rewired the distributer-- color to color-- and am using the GSR dizzy that hasn't been removed from the engine. The engine ran in the GSR. what's the problem???

why not just jump your fuel pump once, just take your battery and hook it to the fuel pump wires and see if it shoots gas out. If it doesn't then you know your pump isn't getting juice or enough juice.
checked and even with the 12v straight to the fuel pump, it wasn't pushing any gas into the engine bay.. I dunno what the problem is-- I pulled the gas lead off the fuel tank (after I lowered the fuel tank) and gas ran out of the fuel lead for several seconds.. what's next?

I don't know. Just an idea.

the fuel line isn't even attached ot the filter right now and there isn't any gas squirting out when I turn the car to the "On position" and listen to the fuel pump pretend to work its magic
ok, I pulled the fuel lead off the fuel tank and turned the car to ON giving it power... I heard it make noise.. but it didn't pump any gas. My guess is the problem lies in the wiring I did

Are you sure the fuel pump is coming on? You might be used to the relatively quiet stock pump. But the noise a Walbro pump makes is anything but subtle. Walbro pumps are known to be loud. So if you are not quite sure you hear the pump, it probably isn't running. If this is the case, the problem is probably electric. Otherwise, it is in the fuel lines. Somewhere, you have a blockage. Or possibly the outlet hose came undone (highly unlikely). If the pump IS coming on, try disconnecting the fuel line as far back as you can and see if fuel is coming out there. Then trace the problem foreward.

How about the banjo bolt at the top of the fuel pump bracket?

I know I'm a little late but I was just going to say that if you wire the fuel pump backwards it'll still work. It'll just pump in the other directions. Remember, motors work both ways..
