What is the best NGK plug for over 550whp? I was running a 9 heat range plug last year but forgot the part number.

i would use the rg5671-a number 8

 

b18bturbo....would you recommend that also for someone going turbo but boosting lower numbers and making less horsepower, or will I be fine with stock NGK's?

Are the 8's cold enough or would I need 9's.

 

for low hp the bcpr7es11 is most common plug

the 5671-a plugs are usually good for racing only not really used on street that often. mostly a race type plug. i used to run the 9s 10s and 11s

 

i would start with a 8 and work your way down. but 8 should be plenty for your setup.

 

Will any auto part store have them? Can I just take that part number [bcpr7es11] and get them?

part number from NGK is 1095 ask for that at napa or any local parts store

 

BKR7E's line up with 5672A's in that chart...why would you goto a 5671 (non-projected tip)???

 

i'm assuming i would need the 8's then.. i'm curently running bcpr7es's and i am misfireing/stumbling badly up top at 75%-100% throttle, this was only at about 10 psi on my stock gsr.. they were gapped at .030 as well.. when i regapped them to about .020, my full throttle was smooth, but idle sucked real bad..

you should not be having a problem w/ the 7's @ .030 on a stock GSR. There is something else wrong w/ ur set up then.

On the real, i was running the 7's and made 450whp.

Those happen to be the 2 different plugs I ordered earlier, 8 of each.

Higher. The higher the number the colder the plug.

 

so what cold range number are the bcpr7es11 / PN 1095?
