Default Could my Synchro be on it's way out ?

i am have this problem,
I changed the clutch on my ITR about a month ago, i just changed the clutch plate as the other one had been damaged, (it was a get me by till i get a lightened clutch)

now when i am driving hard, sometimes, when i change up or down to 3rd gear it crunches when putting it in. It doesn't do it when driving normally or when i start to drive hard, only when i am driving quite hard.

I have checked the oil, its full, someone said i should bleed the clutch ?

Does it sound like the synchro is on its way out ???

Thanks

Classic Honda 3rd gear sycnro problem. Mine does the same thing when im hauling *** and I put it into 3rd quickly.

I think what some might suggest is to try and use GM Syncromesh or some sort of fluid like that. It's only a temporary band-aid solution though.

it just seems since i changed the clutch it had got worse, what do you think would be the best option, replacement box, different ratios or just replace the synchros ?

Try changing the tranny fluid. That always seems to help me.

Best options are to change the fluid and see if that does anything. If not, then all you need to change is the syncro.

when i put in a performance in my car i noticed that my 3rd gear was grinding too at high rpms. its def ur synchro man. i had acura warranty it under a good will service. my stock clutch was put back and now it is like new again. i tried gm synchromesh and did not do the trick. trust me this crunch gets annoying i would pay anything not to have that crunch again. bloody 3rd gear synchros suk bro. get it fixed

I got the same problem. I change out the GM Syncromest every 3k miles or so, after every change the grind goes away, then 3k miles later its back. Im just toooo lazy to pull that tranny off again jut for the 3rd gear syncro. I'll just wait until i need another clutch, or until i get the ATS gears

run a cushioner like they say you can also just use an additive, till you can replace the syncro, it will only get worse trust me. replace it...............replace it..............replace it............youll thank yourself for it later when you see you freind replacing pilot bearings and bending their shifter forks trying to hit second.

give the GM synchromesh a try, worked very well for my 3rd and 1st gear grinds and shifts very smooth. No problems since and should help avoid further damage until you can get it repaired the right way.
