Well, this afternoon i gave my car a rip down the street. everythings good on 1st and 2nd...after i go 3rd...i feel like it just went back to 1st gear..

then something happened. my clutch feels like its slipping.

what do you guys think?

 

well check the clutch...its fine....just slipping throughout the gears...what could be the problem?

what could it be?

synchros? pressure plate ? bearings? maybe tranny oil ???

 

If it's the clutch that's slipping, I'd definately say that you need to invest in a new one. I replaced my hideously worn out clutch a few days ago and when I took it out, it looked fine, however looks can be deceiving.

 

well heres the scenario...

i started giving her on 1st then 2nd. but when it got to 3rd gear, i hear a crunch and it sort of felt like hitting 1st gear again. after shifting it back to 3rd gear....it was really slow...and it felt like the clutch is slipping.

i don't really suppose it could be the clutch since...i tested using the "ebrake" method...and the car stalled when i let off the clutch.

any other solutions??? i don't really wanna buy a new tranny
