Default how to tell if turbo is bad?

hello. i dont know if its my turbo but my car is blowin white sometimes blue smoke at idle and while drivin. and its makin me sick. its a fresh rebuilt d16y8. i even took out the fmu cuz i thought it was running rich. still smokin. do i need a new 15g turbo? i have a sohc greddy kit. will a bad turbo ruin my motor?

also what other turbo would fit the sohc manifold and downpipe? can i upgrade to 18g?

any help will be appreciated thanks and if anyone got a 15g for sale in good condition let me know thanks.

you can do some quick checks first check downpipe for oil if so its blowing through your seals.

second you can check shaft play of the turbo try moving the shaft up adn down left or right if its feels loose time for rebuild

CAN THE SMOKE BE BECAUSE OF A KINK IN THE FUEL LINE THAT GOES INTO THE FUEL FILTER? I BROKE THAT PIECE AND HAD TO CUSTOM A NEW ONE AND IT HAS KIND OF A KINK IN IT. CAN IT BE THAT? I CAN TAKE PICS.

No sounds like a turbo problem more than a fuel problem. If it were a kinked fuel line problem it would be lean not rich. Make sure the return line flows good and check the down pipe for oil.

Make sure you do a compression check first then you would know more.

check your turbo first... signs of oil leaks is definitely the problem.

UHH? Check your coolant first, and then your oil. Who built this engine?
Let us know what you see, after that.

Your map could be reading incorrectly or possiblitly that your O2 sensor isnt reading right... Sounds like a fuel problem... Did you check all your vacuum lines and lsten for any sucking noises?
