Tips on Removing Crank Pulley

Tips on Removing Crank Pulley
For those that have done this before, how did you removing the bolt holding the crank pulley on without turning the crank itself? I think I remember hearing of a special tool that could keep the pulley still when trying to loosen the bolt. Any help in this would be much appreciated.
