I'm looking at atpturbo.com and I see 2.5" coupler size and 2.75". Outside diameter on my piping is going to be 2.5....so does anyone know if the size of the coupler is inside diameter or outside diameter?

When i bought my couplers i bought it for 2.5" pipe and it fit....i believe its ID so it fits the OD of the pipe....

 

so if im custom making my intercooler pipes, for the couplers i want 2.5 or 2.75? basing on that the pipe will be 2.5

 

well if yur pipe is 2.5" OD then get 2.5" coupler, thats what i did....

 

just wondering where you bought them....from the same place?

I don't know if everyone holds the same standards as far as sizes...

 

lets say you have 2.5" piping......if you get 2.5" coupler and its a little smaller of bigger, i think you can stretch it out a little or use the t-bolt clamps to tighten it around the piping would that be ok?

better to be a little small than big.

i bought from them and i was probably 1/4" too small and i could still get it around the IM.

 

Buy the silicon coupler size that matches your IC piping. 2.5 IC pipe-2.5 coupler. As far as the T-bolts go. Get 1/4 inch larger than the coupler. So 2.5 would need a 2.75 clamp. I learned that the hard way.
