Revhard Downpipe: not a direct bolton affair
Anyone know a good solution to the revhard downpipe's 7 inch
gap to the factory catalytic?
What should I do? Take it to a muffler shop?
Should I have it all welded?
Any ideas welcome!

you have to take it to a muffler shop... have it extended and have a flange for the cat welded to it.... you also need to add the bungs for the o2 sensor.... make sure you take it to a good shop tho... ive seen some shops around here do funny things to downpipes.....
You could have a muffler shop fab a pipe on a flange like this:
Then install a exhuast repair kit like this:
Then you can finally look like this:

Definetly make sure you get some sort of flex in there. Cause if you don't you'll have problems in the long run. Example: Bolts stripping off the turbo. And having to RETHREAD the turbo... it's happened to this guy I know.
Can you still keep your cat and have a flex section on your down pipe or you can only put a flex section where the cat used to be? Also where can you get flex sections at?

You can do it either way - I kept the cat, put flex on the downpipe, and made a flange to attach to the cat.
Flex pipe is available up to 2.5" at Kragen and the like for well under $10
