what would it cost to have this done. I wanna buy my pipes from whitey, then cut then and getem welded.

also, where can I get a flange for an sc61, and what exactly is it called (its a five bolt, but i need the right one)?

also what do i do for a flex pipe? are they really nessicary.

this is going on a prelude, thanks.

Some muffler shops won't even touch it because it's too time consuming and some shops don't know what to do.... But if they're willing to do one for you from scratch, it'll probably run you plus or minus 200, so it might be better to buy a pre-fabbed downpipe.

If u wanna go the cheaper route, just buy some ubends and make the pipe yourself. Just have the muffler shop weld it up for you.

YOu can buy the flange a cheapturbo.com

You can do it, but it just ruins the point of having a 3" downpipe. All that exhaust that is flowing through a 3" and is gonna have to be jammed into that, what?, 1 3/4" cat and its gonna HEAVILY restrict flow. Its possible, but you mine as well get a 2" downpipe if you stay with a stock cat.

I cut and fit all my own pipes with a sawzall and then took them into a muffler shop to get welded up...

I had everything all marked and ready to go so it only took them about 45 min to weld it all up...

They only charged me $30 ( plus another 10 that I tiped to the welder) to weld up my charge pipes, downpipe, and dumptube!

And they did a great job! Can't beat DIY!

this might be a lil off topic, but do you really think getting a 3"dp is useless w/ a stock cat?
