check engine light off button

so my buds got a 2001 civic lx and the check engine light is on i herd that there was a combination of buttons to push to turn it off does any one know it?

theres no combination of buttons, you either disconnect the batt for a while, or use an obd2 scanner to find out what it is and turn it off

you sure b/c i wqas at honda and i over herd them say somting like that to a costomer

They were probably discussing the Maintenance Required light.
