my check engine light on my 1998 honda civic LX stays on, ive checked the fluids and a cople other things. What else can i do to have the light go off.

Is it the check engine light or the service engine soon light you sound like a noob so thought i would ask.

Check the codes it will tell you exactly why the light is on.

 

engine lights are usually for your sensors not your fluid.

 

YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME ONE TO PULL THE CODES WITH A SCAN TOOL,FIND THE # IT SAYS AND CALL A HONDA PLACE OR PUT THE CODE ON HERE SOME ONE WILL TELL WHAT TO DO

Im jacking this thread. It flooded here the other day. I have a automatic 2000 dx hatchback. I'm getting the codes 9 (9 short) and 70 (7 long). Then the D4 in the guage blinks 5 and then 8 times.

Can anyone help me please??
