Default b18 ,b16 hybrid

hello peeps

i have a b16a at the moment and i wanna get the b18c block for it. will the b18 block bolt straight on b16 head?? will my b16 gearbox fit on the b18 block?? wot else do i need??

It'll bolt right up. If you haven't done it already (I don't know how old this thread is) you should look into getting this, http://www.goldeneaglemfg.com/str_vtecsystem.html

The tranny will be fine, don't worry if anyone tells you to get one that's geared longer. That is wrong because since the B18 block has a longer stroke than the B16 block, it's not going to rev nearly as quickly, so, if you don't have one, get an LSD for your tranny and then don't worry about it later on (LSD is not mandatory, but it's NICE).

You should also look into getting it sleeved. You are going to want this hybrid to be as stable as possible. The cylinder walls in the B18 are thicker than in the B20. But you should still get it sleeved, I highly recommend it. Also, I don't know the numbers off the top of my head, but you might want to check into the pistons and rods etc for head clearance. I think you'll want flat piston heads.
