like carsound, or random tech???

 

I know that Carsound cats are CARB legal, and I think Random Techs are too,but I'm not 100%.

 

I don't think CATs need to be CARB Legal... atleast I've never run into that problem. So any CAT that works should be fine. I've never seen a CAT with any CARB stamp or No. on it. But technically, it is illegal to replace a functioning CAT say just for performance... but nobody cares.

 

yeah nobody cares about cats ntil u have to get a smog. cats from the factory work much better than any aftermarket cat in cleaning up your emissions hands down. thats why they are so freakin expensive. but yeah, last time i checked if u have an obd2 car u have to have an obd2 certified cat. but then again what smog tech looks to see if u have an obd2 cert. cat. they just look to see if u even have a cat.
