Timing belt replacement
Any ideas for me to refer to the dealership where I had
my timing belt replaced 2 days ago. I had my wife's 98 accord lx 4cyl., timing belt replaced at 95k, before the manufactures recommendation. After picking it up, I noticed a louder than usual engine roar during initital accelerating. It gets less of a roar after the rpm shifts to the next level-took it back and voiced my complaint and they took it back and said that the belt was alittle bit tight, and that they loosened it alittle. But its the same louder than before roar. Does anyone have any ideas what has caused this?

I think tight TBelt whines, not making loud or roaring noise.
I think your right or left or both balancer shafts are not set up properly
And/or maybe the crankshaft pulley is off by one tooth to the camshaft pulley.
I would suggest you complain like hell till they get it right.
My son had his TB replaced at a dealer near his college and it came out with engine vibrating and making noise. My son complained but they talked him out of it. (He is young and they took advantage of him.)
I had to re-do it myself and found that both balancer shafts are not aligned properly and the timing belt was too loose. A really bad job by the honda dealer.
