first off here is the link to the other thread i had goin

ok- went back to the car tonight. checked for spark and each cylinder sparks. fuel pump comes on(damn walbros are loud
) and fuel is getting to the cylinders cause its all over the plugs and smells too. a few people suggest that it was my ignitor/coil in the dizzy. my question is would it still spark if these were bad??? my 3 possiblities for why my car aint working was main relay,ignitor,coil- and now it almost seems to me that they are all working properly
im tryin to find someone i know wit the same motor so i can borrow dizzy's, but its not working so well, and i dont wanna go spend 200 bucks on ignitor/coil if thats not the problem. please help me its been almost a month since this **** went down. i posted this in the eg forum, but would like to get the opinion of people in the tech forum too

if coil or ignitor were bad, car would have no spark. if car has spark, are you sure that timing is correct? could you have plug wires switched up?
then again, it could be just really flooded out. Have you tried cleaning plugs and drying out cylinders and trying to restart? Have you performed compression test to make sure integrity of cylinders is OK?
just a couple of things...
sorry if it's a repeat if someone else already posted these suggestions, didn't read other post...

ok, now that I read other post, heres something else. have you checked to make sure that the screw holding rotor on the distributor shaft hasn't fallen out causing rotor not to spin. I have seen this before also. this may explain spark, just not getting it to the correct cylinders at the correct time. I suggest disassembling distributor cap and inspecting the rotor and making sure this hasn't happened.

ive taken the plugs out and cleaned them. the car has been not working for a lil over 3 weeks now. every few days ill try it and nothing, so i dont think its flooded. havent tried turning it over with the cap off, it was too cold out tonight and it was gettin late- ill give it a try tomorrow. would it be possible for my ignition timing to **** up out of nowhere????
I would try replacing the plugs,(cleaning them is rarely effective with fuel soak). Reccomend
compression test. This must be done one cylinder at a time, with the throttle plate open.
If compression is OK,verify timing,(ignition and valve).
Keep in mind that RPM must be sufficient during cranking. If battery is weak, do something to
keep rpm up. Try holding accelerator pedal to the floor during cranking. If compression is low,
holding the throttle open will assist in building compression during the cranking cycle.
This won't flood a fuel injected car.
GOOD LUCK!

check the timing, the belt might have jumped a few teeth. I once had a timing belt snap on me going 30 Mph down hill in 3rd gear.... anythings possible.
The suggestion of checking to make sure the rotor is still screwed securely is a good one. I had a 88' CRX Si that loved to loosen up. I would be getting spark from the wires but just because the rotor was spinning freely on the ditributor shaft. It stranded me like 5 times.... that sucked. Turned out the threads on the distributor shaft were stripped so the screw just kept working loose.
good luck man

thanks for all the ideas guys. the timing belt isnt broken, and it tight on the gear. i dont have my upper cover on and its sitting right in front of you clear as day. as for the compression test, i did one a while back and it was 210-200. doesnt it have to be done at normal operating temperature too? cause the car hasnt run in almost a month
..... im gonna go back today for a lil bit b4 work and check the rotor
