Default car died suddenly???? im lost

so im coming to a stop the other night and all my dash lights come on. i thought i mighta stalled it cause i was stopped and the clutch was out, so i tried to turn it over again, and it just cranked but would not start up. im like hhahah funny joke(cause my other car had its alternator die the night before). turn all my electrical loads off and try again- wont start. 3 attempts at pop start and no real luck. i checked for leaks, nothing- vaccuum, oil, coolant- no puddles or leaks. all the lights work fine so its not the electrical system, and plus we took the plugs out and cleaned them and checked for spark and it did. i think its a fuel problem, but i have a full tank of gas. so my friends and i are outside for like an hour with temps in the single digits and windchills below 0, cant figure it out. i got it towed to a local shop and they havent gotten back to me. anyone have any ideas on what it could be????

sounds like your distributor went bad...if it's a D series thats where i would check first...check the coil and the ignitor.

I had a similar experience, but I had no license and my car died in front of two cops....it turned out to be the distributor

Its the dizzy more than likely, mine went out on my first sol on my D16Z6, car just died while i was driving and then would crank but not ever start up....check for spark, no spark mean prolly bad dizzy, if dizzy is good then may be your ECU....

my suggestions are the ignitor (in your distributor) ignition module, also in dist. or main relay. but i've never seen a main relay crap out while driving but hey it could happen

the fuel pump and filter are new, and its giving fuel now b/c the mechanic told me that he had the banjo bolt(fuel filter) undone and turned it on and fuel came out, so im thinkin its ignition related now, although i had my friend check 1 of the plugs for spark and it sparked........could it be possible that its got spark but just not firing on correct time or something?

This just happened to me a few weeks ago. All the lights came on, and it died. It would crank, but not start. Turns out it was the igntition coil, it had died and needed replacing.

its probably ur fuel pump relay...ive had a few go out on a couple of my civics...i think its a common thing for civics...i really dont think its ur dizzy because u got spark...i would go and buy a fuel pump relay before u spend money on a dizzy $$$chaching!

not if they burn out...i never heard any of mine click...when mine went bad and i was short on cash, i would bang on the lower left side of my dash(where the relay is) and it would start...sometimes i would have to bang on it more than others
