do i need to get it tuned or not?

Default do i need to get it tuned or not?

well, im goin to trade my block with my friends block..his block is a spoon bare block, with toda 82mm pistons, manely rods, rest is all stock itr parts..im going to put my stock head on there..would i need to get tuned asap or would it be fine to drive it for a lil while, i really dont have the money to get it tuned yet..im also goin to buy a fpr,fuel rail, cam gears, and prolly hondata s100

what the comp on thos pistons, you may wanan think about upgrading cams

I would definitely go to a dyno ASAP to get tuned.

What is wrong with your current motor?

nothing is wrong with the current motor..my friend just wants to do a straight trade with me, his block is already put together..i was just going to put my mugen headgasket on and mild cams, but he talked me into the deal...his setup(spec'c,toda valve train and header) he dyoned at 205whp on pump gas he was tuned by steve sakai

Running that high compression you want to make sure everything works well together. It was tuned with his head not yours. So yes get it tuned. If for some reason you are running lean you could **** the whole thing up. I'm assuming he is not giving you the hondata or whatever he used to tune the motor.

If you don't have the car tuned, you might be looking for a new block in the near future. 82mm pistons, which will cause you to have a thin cylinder wall, will not like a badly tuned setup...

tuning is a must !!, specially running that high of CR . An you will make sure that everything is running properly ..

im goin to get it tuned..im just wondering if i can drive on it a week or two before i get it tuned..usually sakai will give you the hondata kinda pre set to were its suppose to be
