Default 4th gen engine mod question....

Hello, just curious, i got a 1991 LX 5spd
i plan on fixing the car up and turning into a huge project car
i'm just curious, about the motor...
Is it better to get a h22 motor? or keep the f22 and mod the **** outta it? i've heard hte f22's can handle fairly large turbo is that true?

Basically, which should i go with? I have another f22 motor sitting at home that i can completely fix up and turn it into a racing motor, or get it fixed up to be a racing motor, bored out cylinder's new pistons, rings, all racing ****... and then prepare for turbo maybe?
what you guys think i should do?

A lot of people have been discussing this in the past week or 2. There are advantages of each. But it seems like the f series wins just because of low compression and and almost an indestructable block. The f series motors are really cheap and are a dime a dozen. The h22 swap is more of money in the long run with sensors etc. But thats what I have been picking up reading some of the active threads.

H22a drops right in by using all of the stock brackets and mounts. and it depends on how far of a project you plan to do.

Yea, i'm not to sure on how much i plan on spending but i dont make alot every year, so i'm limited due to my job...but if i found another i could probably spend alot more on engine work, right now its pretty rough so i dont think i'd be able to afford the h22 and buy all the parts..
But i'll probably throw turbo in my f22 for now and then maybe in the long run save up for a h22 and mod the **** outta it
thanks for the imput guys!

Yeah exactly, what do you mean by that? You should have to use different brackets for accessories and motor mounts. I thought we already went through this in another thread.
