Default Engine question

I have a 94 honda civic lx. It has a stock engine. I have been told to drop an h22 motor in my car, but it is expensive. I want my car to be faster. what else can i do to get at least 190 hp. If any one can help me out that would be great.

You may have posted at the wrong time...on the weekends peeps got better things to do....well some peeps haha.

H22 is a good motor and relatively inexpensive. The difference between installing one and say a "B" series motor is that the B motor fits with no difficulties but the H22 is a squeeze.

You must relieve (remove)some metal in a few places and some folks have axle problems.

If you plan on doing the swap yourself look into a B series motor if your gonna have someone do it for you go all out H22 or B18C-R.

I prefer the B18C-r and have done two allready...with help of course!

I would assume you allready searched if not do so you will learn quite a bit about which swap may be best for you.

Well Im off to bed got to get up in four hours and do the drag strip thing

Good Luck

I think you need a life.
You wait 45 min and expect answers ......
Why no provide some more info, like since a h22 is too much how much do you have to spend? How mechanically inclined are you? They will narrow your options down, Do some searching instead of waiting for the answers to come to you.
Do you want 190hp at the wheels or at the crank? there is a difference.
