Default 99 DX engine

Alright guys I am purchasing a engine from a 99 DX to swap into my 95 CX .
I want to know what i can use from my old head on the new one. For example can I keep my TB, IM, and fuel rail? Also I think this is a D16y7 engine. Any help is greatly appreciated

Keep the newer 99 head. Just get a y8 intake manifold. Get the automatic y8 manifold because it has the three wire iac on the throttle body and is a plug n play.

Good suggestion.

The 1992-1995 CX intake manifold and TB sucks, as does the stock D16Y7 stuff.

Go with either the Y8 stuff as mentioned above, or if you can't find that stuff at least get the 92-92 D16Z6 intake manifold, TB, etc.

even though it does suck, will it all be able to be used on the new head even if it is temporary?

from what I've been reading lately the z6 manifold actually puts out better high rpm power than the y8 manifold.

I don't see why not except for the items from the CX are small and restrictive.

Will it bolt up and run?

Yes.

Will it be ideal?

Hell no.
