y8 manifold. UPDATED W/ PICS
hey everyone.
as you may know, i have a 98 dx hatchback with a d16y7.
well i just got my y8 intake manifold and throttle body in the mail and
was wondering how i would put it on. i searched and came up with prettymuch nothing.
the how-to's were very vague and non informative.
anyone know where i can get good step by step directions?
thanks alot...

not sure if you will find step by step directions...but what you really have to do is maybe take a few pictures...and just logically think out where each hose and plug goes....you will have to buy some hoses because some wont reach with the new intake manifold...and you will most likely have to buy some wire and extend some of those plugs..also don't forget about the iacv:

If you have an auto y8 manifold then its a simple plug and play thing. If you have a manual one you need to find something to cap your IAC in the back, and then move the y7 throttle body onto the y8 manifold BUT you have to remove the throttle pully from the y8 and put it on the y7 throttle body. If all goes well you wont have a problem. If you mess up youll know with a really really bad idle.

currently dealing with this exact problem...haha...and it is really really bad idling...i just need to get around to doing the iacv fix.

Automatic. Look at the second to last picture.
See where the one hole is on the back of the manifold? That is for one of the bolts that hold the manual IACV on to a manual manifold.
