Default Cable - Hydro Conversion D-Series???

Maybe i missed this post but i searched and found nothing related to the D-series engines in terms of Hydro conversion kits. I've heard that the B-series kit will work on a D however the tranny mount is different to I would have to fab one up myself if i wanted to use it. Anyone have more info on this? I've got a Y8 build coming up this spring and i'd rather spend a few hundred extra and find a Y8 tranny that'd last rather than go through 88-91 Si tranny's every so often. What's the price point as well just for this kit?

I'm going to call Hasport but it's Sunday night and i'm curious...

Isn't Hasport coming out with a kit in spring for the D-series hydro conversion.
I want one for my swap this summer.

hmmm maybe i'll have to look into that...Either that or i could spend money on getting a 90-91 tranny rebuilt. How much would something like that run...AAMCO

^that should give you an idea of some pricing. I think later down the thread, he said $800 for a standard rebuild. He's got a damn fine tranny there.

Doing some searching it looks like rebuild kits are around $200 give or take...then figure ~$300 for labor unless you want to mess with it yourself. I've heard it's not that hard but i've never opened a tranny before. Maybe it'll be better to just grab a newer Y8 tranny and grab the kit...hopefully it's no more than $300 or i'm sticking with the 91 Si tranny
