Default I have a zdyne but.......

I'm not running turbo. I don't see anyone running the zdyne all-motor, should I do an OBD-1 conversion so I can do hondata? I just got the car, 91 dx hatch with a blown B16A2 that was turbo at some point. It has an ugly wire harness and a GM map sensor. Can someone point me in the right direction? TIA.

sale the zdyne and the gm 3bar map and buy hondata. I think that you can run zdyne without boost though, just like you can hondata.

if I were you I wouldn't sell the zdyne. just because you don't have a turbo doesn't mean it will not work. the nice thing about it is you can tune on the fly unlike a hondata where you will have to get the program burned for you.

It may not datalog like a hondata but don't dismiss it's ability to tune. I don't remember the links I have to for some tunes but, I am sure someone can back me up on this.

Its a PM6 ecu. Does it look at the knock sensor? How many o2 sensors? I also found a butched up distributor on the b16 I was thinking it might be simpler to do OBD-1 but if its so easy to tune.....

all you have to do is load a stock b16 fuel/spark map into the zdyne and your ready to roll. try it out before you decide to sell.

I've been running the ZDyne on my ZC sans turbo for over two years, very happy with the results! I think first you need to do some research about both systems, and even others available and understand what you have and don't have, and all of their different advantages, because each system is uniqe in their own way. The only major disadvantage of a ZDyne for an all motor setup will be it's 9,000 redline, which there are ways around, should you even need it.

What are these "ways around" the 9000 limit? My graph only shows up to 7400 rpm's. How can I see whats going on after 7400?

The Z-dyne supposedly keeps the same "rising rate" from 6200<?> to 7400, and continues that same rate of increase by extrapolation on up to 9900, if I remember correctly.

I know my car has seen 9500 with the Z-dyne.
