just took the cat out and put a test pipe on, just to feel the difference. felt major loss of torque, will be putting the cat back on asap. anybody have the same experience?
I didn't notice a loss of torque when going to a testpipe. I did go from stock cat to Carsound cat to T1R testpipe, maybe I didn't notice because I was gradually stepping down.

If you felt "major torque loss" from taking your cat out, I think you broke something.
The stock cat is a restriction. Adding a test pipe will give you more power, like 2 hp or something. Put the cat back in and save some trees.

It's a trade off. You need some back pressure to create torque. On the other hand, you sacrifice top end power. When you eliminate the cat, you feel a torque loss but, feel the RPM going up crazy at top end.
