Default Emissons and obd2 cars: hondata vs. aem ems vs ???

Ok, well I'm sure my dilemna is much like many of yours...

Emissions are a bitch. No, I can pass the sniffer by tuning, but now the problem is the obd2 scan tool. As my cars get more and more modified, bigger injectors are used - such that won't even idle with the stock ecu.

So now what to do? I mean, why not make a reprogrammable rom for the obd2 ecu's?

I don't mind the p28's, but honestly aren't they slower in processor speed?

And I'd like to be able to add back the immobilizer key chip function, as well as datalog my 2ndary o2 sensor as well as knock sensor, etc.....

Why is it they can chip an rsx ecu, but not a 98-01 integra one?

And I hear that a fully standalone type of system for the rsx is coming out soon... How did the 98+ integra's get skipped?

Search the web for Techtom and Technosquare. They do OBD2 ECU programming. Techtom also is the company which Hondata bought the OBD1 programming from.

Why would you want to datalog the secondary o2 sensor?

Why would you want to datalog any narrowband sensor?

Don't make assumptions.

I would prefer to run a 2ndary wideband o2 sensor and datalog that.

Will, the vafc isn't good for timing control throughout the rpm band. I haven't tried it with dsm 450cc injectors... but I have heard that there is a "hack."

In any instance, it still sucks to need a vafc to pass emissions when you already have an s200.
