greddy turbo kit bad idle
ok I just installed a greddy turbo kit on a 98 gsr. when it warms up it idles way crappy though. did a comp check for the hell of it and cam up with 160 180 170 170. It is running a comptech all motor ecu (dont worry Im not going to boost with it) could this effect the idle. Any suggestions of things to check would be appreciated. thanks - josh
did you butt splice the blue box in, or did you solder and tape it? make shure the mechanical advance on the ignition is set to 16* (stock). check for proper spark plug wire placement. check everything!
I soldiered and shrink tubed the connections and checked and gapped all the plugs. smells like it is running rich. Plugs are black, wet and smell like gas.
hey well yea when i start my car vac reads 16. As for the gas smell, i smell it too, i'm using the smc with 450s. Did you get sparkplugs or are you runing the stock ones? did you reset the ecu?

if you are using the bluebox then it was programmed for a stock ecu. Take out the all motor chipped ecu. it will only be problems.
