Default 2 Crxs on the bottle.. have questions and need help

me and my buddy both have honda crxs with swaps.. mine is a 1991 with a b16a1 with stock bottome and skunk2 stage 2 cams with full valve train or skunk2.. skunk two intake manifold an d aem cold air.. his is a 1989 with an h23 in it totaly stock.. we are both looking at doing a built bottome and runnin anywhere from a 75-125 shot of nitrous.. we are looking for advice on the bottom end build for both cars... me with the b16 is looking to be in the 13-14sec range for 1/4 mile.. im now running a 15.5 on street tires with limited slip... he is already in the 14s he is running a 14.7 on steet tires with no limited slip.. that h23 is crazy fast in there.. anyway.. any advice on the builds for both cars would be appreciated.. and possibly if anyone has done something like this with a b16 on the bottle i woud love to hear some hp and tq results from the dyno.. thanks

as long as its tuned you can do that shot on a stock block or at least i did and all i had done to my block was some 9:1 je pistons, and my head was all built and p&p

15.5!!!!! Holy hell thats fast!!! Damn!!! And 14.7 with an h23...wooooweeeee, that is crazy fast. I think you must be the worst driver in the world if you have a b16 w/full valvetrain and lsd and all you ran was 15.5. What elevation are you at? Is it that that new strip they just put on everest?

yes, tuned with a full bottles (or bottle heater).. it makes a difference. I think a 75 shot on some kits is not the same as others.. (whp, engine hp) i would ***** out on a 125hp shot (to the wheels) for a nitrous setup on a stock block.

oh, shake your friends hand for me. (h23)

these runs were not on the bottle.. they were all motor.. All im looking for is some advice on what i need to do for my new bottom end.. we are both very curious.. if we should do stroker kits. sleeves. or just new pistons and rods and if that is enough to handle 75-125 shot of nitrous.. so please if anyone that is serious and can give me some advice.. and not cut me or my car or my driving ability down. .please help me out..

Sorry, I don't mean to be an ***, I just come across that way sometimes, I was just trying to be humorous. About your setup though, if you have the money, you might as well do sleeves[I would go bigger than stock bore, like 84mm], rods, and pistons.

Track elevation blows!! Throws normal times and makes your run seem slow to everyone else... Get a standalone a tune it, get good fuel mang. and delivery and you'll be good for 125 if you got big ones, 150.... its all about tunning.

just my .02 cents tho

Blaze

imo i would go with forced induction, with those lite *** rex's u could hit 12's easy, im not a big fan of the bottle but i would recommend a fmu, and changing out the pistons and rings wouldnt be bad idea either.

i didnt know lemars had any import interest going on there, i used to live there, haha, the good old days

well my friend over here has a stock b16 91 hatch, he usually runs like low 15, usually around a 15.2. then he stuck either a 60 or 65 wet shot of nos and was runnin high 13s, 13.9 at 100mph, 100 is usually 13.5.

you can go 65 wet shot safely, i think just as long your not using it all over the place and only use it when at the track, you should be fine at stock especially since you got the skunk2 valve train
