Default Installing RC injectors

Ok, ive tried searching and I found many mixed reviews on which o-ring seals to use and how to go about getting a good seal. I've taken some pictures of what i'm dealing with here, the car is a 92 DA if that makes a diference. The injectors clip in no problem.

I used the oem upper green o-rings to seal the injector in the fuel rail, that's fine. The problem i'm having is with the bottom seals. As you can see the injectors came with a small black o-ring.

The intake manifold has this "cushion" ring that sits on the stock injector just fine and plugs nicely into the IM. Seen below..

Now, when I try to put the cushion on the RC injector, it fits but is stretched a little. When I try to put the cushion/RC injector into the Intake manifold, they dont fit. I've tried using oil, but no go.

Do I sand down the outside of the cushion (or inside) to make the combo fit?

Any help yould be great

the only thing you have to do is bring the fuel rail up some so the injector sit on top of o-ring with some slight pressure and you will not have a problem it does not need to sit all the way in the o-ring. make sure you place the o-ring in the socket all the way. 756 hp on meth. with inj..... placed just like i explained.

So I put the cushions into the IM, shim the fuel rail up a tad with a couple of washers and the injectors just sit on top/sightly pushed in?

I used a dremel to bore out the inside of the seal. Go a little at a time and keep test fitting it till it goes in good, but still a bit tight. Use vaseline- it'll help

RC310's on my Skunk2 manifold. I can gather some pics of the individual pieces later on today from the other motor. I'll also post pics of them installed with the tapered grommets instead of the OEM plastic spacer and grommet.

When i put in my rc's in i used some vaseline on the stock black rubber gromets, and slowly tightened the bolts that secure the fuel rail to the manifold.. they squeezed in with no problems, just took a little convincing...
