need to know something importent
is there anyway to wire your vtec solonoid/p switch so that the ecu always thinks its fine, my system is messed up, solonoid works, p switch is fine but it cuts out on WOT at the end of 3rd, it has oil... everything i know the diagnostics and its fine, but it just cuts out it weird. ive been searching the fourm cause i remeber seeing some1 saying that they wired it so the ecu thinks its fine but i cant find it, does any1 know please cause this will save me then time and $of picking up a new

My VTEC system works....
HOWEVER, speratically, while in use, VTEC will just cut out and the ECU will throw a Code 22 (VTEC System Malfunction)
Here's an example....
Im idling, car is fine, i can drive unlimited amounts of Km AS LONG as i dont keep the RPM's in VTEC range for prolonged use...AKA Racing......
So here, I'm sitting at the start of the quarter.....holdign my revs....i drop my clutch in 1st gear and launch, than i shift to 2nd around 8k RPM's, i shift from 2nd into 3rd at around 7500rpm's and halfway thru 3rd gear, the engine light comes on, u hear the exhasut note change as VTEC cuts out.........Adn the ECU is now throwing a code 22......2 long and 2 shot...like i stated above, VTEC System Malfunction....
However....b4 it throws the code, and while the car IS working in VTEC Range, it IS working fine......its speratic, it doesnt always happen in 3rd gear, it might happen in 4th.......but it only happens while the car is in VTEC range....AKA 5K rpm's and above.......
NOW, is there a way to trick the ECU or STOP the ECU from shutting VTEC off and throwing a code?? or let it throw a code but NOT shut off the VTEC System???

That's the VTEC oil pressure swtich... It's very possible that you have some loss of pressure at the high RPM range, which would mess with your engine. As I have no experience with this problem, I'll give you a bump. And as for the "trick" a new ECU chip couldn't hurt... I know it eliminates the knock sensor, and other factors.
