Something wrong with my LSD/tranny???
First let me explain.....
when taking a quick sharp turn (usually right) at any speed in first gear or at around 20-25 mph in second gear, AND with the gas almost fully depressed.....the tires feel like they're spinning out the whole way through the turn. i don't feel like i lose traction, and the car remains stable. when taking the same turn with foot slightly on gas it doesn't happen. also, at higher speeds (like left hand turns), it never happens.
IS THIS NORMAL BEHAVIOR WHEN ACCELERATING THROUGH A SHARP TURN AT LOWER SPEEDS, as explained above???
since *i don't think* i remember this ever happening to my car i wanted to post this b/c i'm worried if it could be anything....it would be my LSD.
i'm espcially concerned b/c i have literally only 212 miles until warranty is up.
i *may just be freaking out since the warranty is close and i'm starting to feel/hear things that i've always been used to, but please, this is the H-T.com ITR board and you guys are good, so please help a brother out and enlighten me.
as a preclaimer....i don't know much about the LSD in our cars, but i was under the impression that it's supposed to keep the front tires planted and NOT squealing/spinning, especially under sharp turns.
THANKS Y'ALL!!!!!

When I rev it to 8000 and drop the clutch it feels like I'm not getting any grip?? I don't get it??? Is something broken??????
funny guys.
anyways i'm just freaking out b/c the warranty in up so soon and i'm not paying even $1 from my pocket for something that should be covered within the warranty period.

I think that's their way of saying there is nothing wrong so don't worry about it.

So you think an LSD prevents tires from squealing? Wow, that's crazy....

From my understanding of an lsd it puts an equal amount of power to both wheels so that you aren't left with one wheel gripping and the other spinning. Taking a sharp turn hard in first gear or at high revs in second and then flooring it is going to cause the front tires to break lose cause you are exceeding the amount of tire grip you have.

Drive any other front drive sports car without an LSD (5th gen. Prelude for example, non SH) around the same turns at the same speeds, then jump back in your R. Now you'll feel grounded.
You shouldn't have to worry about the type r lsd, regarding warrenty issues. The stock type r lsd isn't a clutch type lsd so you wont have to maintain it like the cusco.
