Default ball bearings or spindel? please help...

well to make a long story short... i was driving in the rain and my car started to drift and in order to not to hit oncomming trafic i hit the curb pretty hard then ended up with almost the whole car on the curb ( the driver side wheels were still off the curb)... i then proceeded back on the street and i then notice that the steering was kinda funny (like when i would hit a bump or accelerate the wheel would kinda tug to the right)

when i got back home i raised the car on a jack and i started to wiggle the wheel to the left and right and i could hear a clanking noise and had a little give( the bad thing is that i couldnt find the key for the lock on my wheels so i could inspect further)

now that i have the key, im just wondering what it might me....

any idea on cost for repairs? (i'm in s.f. cali)

thanks for any advise and for your time

could have killed the berring. but u usually cant feel them with the axle nut on. so u probably killed a balljoint or tie rod. i'm thinking tie rod. cost to fix isnt much. i don't remember what i paid for tierod ends when i did mine.

so the tie rod would cause it to tug like that? cause just the other day i moved the car for street cleaning and the wheel was tugging pretty bad (like the wheel would just want to go by itself and i would have to fight it just to keep it under control)

thanks

yea, or maybe an lca bushing. the pulling is probably due to a wheel alignment issue from hitting the curb. u realy have off the wheel and give a good look around. shake the wheel and see whats off, loose, bent or what have you. if u were closer i'd take a look.

took it to a shop today... they said it was control arm issue... but to me it doesnt look bent... but the pass. side front wheel is obviously bent back... but the funny part is that when i just let the car glide with out accelerating or any bumps on the road it doesnt tug, it just goes str8...

any one here from the bay area could maybe take a look at my car? cause im seriously tired of getting riped off.... and of soure if u fix it i'll gladly pay u...

thanks

yea. my car did the same when i had a bad shock forck-to-lca bushing. it would pull to the left on brakes and to the right on the throttle. if that wheel is visually back, why dont u go to a junk yard and pick up a new lca for 30 buks and throw it in.

lca is lower control arm. my friend lost control and hit a curb. he messed the lower control arm up (it was bent, and you could clearly see it) and he screwed his axle over. just compare the bad side with the good. you might see something that you didn't before. good luck on your search.
