hi flow cats?
I've never had any problems with cops and my exhaust... my other integras had no cats, loud as hell too. as far as emissions... you can get by with no cats... get to about a 1/4 tank and put in 2 bottles of rubbing alcohol...
my friend has an 11 second talon... he's never had a problem doing it

If you have to have the vehicle inspected you might not pass....As long as their is a converter it would be ok....At least here in NC.
After June of this year the county I live in is going emissions testing on all OBD-2 vehicles and above

Thats for the ones that need to be wedled in right?
I have seen some for older vehicles that are direct bolt in (like in your driveway) for @200-300.00

Isn't there a way to keep the O2 sensors from spitting out a CEL by wrapping them in foil? I have a test pipe for my EP but haven't put it on for fear of a cel.

For what its worth. This might be the only good O-2 sim for the EP3/DC5 ecus

I have a carsound high flow cat 2.5" and ive never thrown a CEL. Its been on for about 1000 miles now with a jackson racing race header. You will pass emmisions, or at least you should because it is still a catalitic converter.

I have this sim. It's worked great, a little pricey but it's a direct fit (no
splicing or whatever).
Some guys at clubrsx have said that it gave out (and CEL came back on)
over time, but I'm at 500+ miles with no problems yet.
Just for some clarification: some companies will make a "hi-flow cat"
but it's really just a test pipe/straight pipe. Other companies actually make
higher flowing converters.

You do. I have a base model RSX and the race header is made for the type s. I had a exhaust shop custom fit the header and the exhaust using the flanges off the test pipe on the high flow cat.
I just bought a Type-S, and the previous owner did a complete custom exhaust. No cat or resonators. I am afraid that the previous owner cut off the plugs for the sensors, and I havent had time to check under the car. Anyways, if I do have the plugs still, how many of those O2 sims do I need to buy?

If you still have the bungs/holes for the 02 sensors, you'll only need 1 sim.
The primary 02 sensor should be just behind the collector of the header and
the secondary 02 sensor should be mid-cat (or where the cat used to be, anyway). The sim will be used on the second 02 sensor (you just unplug the stock one and
plug the sim in).
I don't know that they made a sim for the primary, b/c I think the ECU is trying
to compare the two values (difference between primary and secondary...without
a cat, secondary values go up/down and ECU doesn't like that, throws a CEL).
