ITR rear calipers...
Does anyone know if it is possible to widen the caliper in order to accept a thicker disc?
Or...
How thick a disc can I use with the stock rear calipers?
thanks in advance...

You don't really need a thicker disk in the back. It never really gets heated up that much. Not even on the track. It's the fronts you have to worry about...
Is it not a sliding type caliper though? Shouldn't I be able to put in longer slides that would allow me to utize a thicker disc?
And how about radial clearances? Can I introduce an 11.1inch disc to that caliper? It is only 1/2 inch greater than the stock rotor...
As far as the rest of my braking system is concerned; the fronts have been thouroughly reworked with 2 piece steel discs and AP Racing 4 pots...
I am trying to figure out if I can graft the stock ITR front rotors onto the rear with a minimum of fuss.

While the caliper is a sliding pin type, the bracket that holds the pads is the limiting factor when putting a thicker rotor on there.
As for putting a larger rotor on there, I have done some test fitting and it looks like one would fit, but it would require using a shorter caliper such as the regular Integra. This is because of the room needed for the bolts etc to attach the adapter bracket.

I would actually like to see a replacement caliper for the rear. The rear caliper does a very poor job in my opinion. The inner pad wears at an angle, and you end up having to replace pads sooner than it should be.
BTW, what kind of rear pads do you guys use on the track?

I use HP+ for the rear and blues for the front. I would still like a little less rear bias, but I don't know if I want to go back to a stock rear pad. I've been thinking about it. I don't have too much of a problem with the rears. Actually, everything seems to wear okay. I just had my fronts rebuilt and pad wear seems pretty uniform, although haven't had much driving on them yet.
Maybe your rears could use a little refreshing?

I only have 27k miles on my R, and only 3-track day events, so I wouldn't think that the caliper needs a rebuild. Others have mentioned this also, so I am not sure what to make of it. Hmmm....
